From the time I was born I knew I was a mess. Never would have the chance to be the best. Silver spoon? Fuck, I got a steel knife had to learn how to kill just to provide. The bottom is where I lie, the gutter is where I reside. Watching TV and seeing this fake reality of money and power - just to realize i'm getting paid by the hour. Sweeping stair wells and streets just making enough to eat - thought i'd come out on top but the bills kept piling up.
I swore i'd do whatever it takes to get myself out of this City of Snakes.
But all that I do is take in more debt as I step in tears that my family wept.
It's this low class life that I can't escape. I fought for the top but I can't survive. I'll accept what I get but it's all shit that i'm getting.
There's nothing I can do to escape!
The cards that i've been dealt I always seem to fold, but when it comes down to it I just dig a bigger hole.
